The story
Practical software, without the disappearing act.
Mavat was founded in Sydney by Angelo Hanna to build practical software for businesses without the layers, jargon or disappearing act that often come with technology projects.
Angelo stays close to the problem, builds the system, explains the trade-offs in plain language and remains available after launch. That is the whole model: a small studio where the person you speak to on the first call is the person designing and building the system.
The work focuses on growing service businesses that have outgrown the way they work—where enquiries, quotes, jobs, staff activity and reporting are spread across inboxes, spreadsheets and software that do not talk to each other. Mavat maps how the team actually works, then builds the custom system, CRM or automation that removes the friction.
Mavat can work across service businesses, but starts with two focused paths where there is real delivery experience behind them: construction and trades, and allied health and NDIS.
The name
Mavat is Coptic for “of its own accord.”
The name is the promise: useful systems that keep the work moving without needing you to push every step.

Angelo leads the work from the first meeting through the build and handover. There is no account manager relaying messages to a team you never meet.
Plain language, visible trade-offs
Every decision is explained in plain language, including the trade-offs. If an off-the-shelf product is the better answer, you will hear that too.
AI to move faster, people to decide
Mavat uses AI to move faster, but not to put your project on autopilot. Decisions, quality checks and client conversations stay human.
You own what is built
The system is handed over to your business. There are no per-seat Mavat licences and no lock-in, and third-party services stay in accounts you control.

For Ktipio Build, Mavat built a customised system connecting estimating, operational workflows, Outlook and Xero around the owners’ process, as an owned alternative to a construction platform priced at approximately $25,000 per year—then stayed through training and handover.
For Cross Care, Mavat is delivering a secure operations command centre built in modules around the organisation’s real systems, with patient data deliberately excluded and human review retained for incoming applications.
Alongside client work, Angelo has built founder-led products—an AI tutoring platform, an AI curriculum generator and a native iOS calendar app—that demonstrate range. They are separate from client results.
